HonoursIn modern times Eddlewood has enjoyed success in the bowling world. Frank Calder - the Lanarkshire Bowling Association President in 1985 - had the vision to create a Junior section that was to become the envy of clubs throughout Scotland, winning the Lanarkshire Junior singles title eight times. This notably included Jim Conway, who won the title three times in a row in the 1970s and was later to become a full Scottish Internationalist. A number of the home bred junior section went on to represent Lanarkshire at County level and the club has represented District 26 at the Scottish Finals on numerous occasions. Another prodigy of the era is Scott Forrest who has represented Eddlewood Bowling Club at every stage in the National Championships i.e. Junior Singles, Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours. However without doubt the finest moment in nearly 100 years history is when the Triples team of Graham Thompson, John Docherty and Bob Brown won the National Triples Championship at Ayr Northfield in 2006, Eddlewood's first National Honour.
